    Best Cucumber-Lemon-Lime Detox Water

    Reap the healthy benefits of lemon lime and cucumber water today!!!

    So drink up!!! We are what we drink, right?…..

    Lemon, lime, and cucumber infused water is easy and healthy. The lemon and lime help your body fight infection, cleanse your kidneys, reduce inflammation, and prevent bloating. The cucumber helps your skin and lowers your blood pressure.  The combination aids in weight loss and flushes toxins..the best thing is that it’s tasty.

    Also as I always say, if it’s a bit tart or sour to your taste buds, add a little stevia to balance out the acidity in the water.

    **Keep in mind the quality of water does affect the taste, please make sure you are using bottled water not tap.

    **Please wash all your ingredients before you use them, scrub the skins and get off the wax.  *Use my Homemade fruit spray.

    **When using Cucumber, taste the skin first, some cucumber skins might have a bitter taste to them, if so peel the cucumber first then slice.

    ***After you let it sit overnight you will find it getting stronger in taste,  if you don’t use it in one day you may want to take out the fruit or not.  

    Ingredients – 1 pitcher of Water, 1 cucumber sliced, 1 lemon sliced, 1 lime sliced,  Mix together and let fuse for at least 4 hours.

    Blueberry & Sage Detox Water

    This sweet Detox Water is your antioxidant boost for the day. A combination of blackberries and sage ensures those free radicals floating around in your body are kept in check and allows your body to start fighting back. Blackberries are also rich in Vitamin C and many other beneficial trace elements.

    Detoxing Benefits:

    • Blackberries are a super food and have one of the highest antioxidant levels of fruit which helps to fight free radicals in the body. They are also rich in Vitamin C and fiber which have been shown to reduce the risks of certain types of cancer.

    • Sage is full of antioxidants which helps to fight free radicals in the body.

    Ingredients:

    ½ up blueberries (Fresh or Frozen)
    6-8 Sage Leaves
    1 Pitcher of Water

    *Rinse all fruit and vegetables. Choose Organic if possible. Prick the Blueberries with a fork or toothpick and crush the Sage before you add to water. Let sit overnight.

    Tea w/ Apple Cinnamon & Honey

    September is the start of the summer wind down and the gearing up of the Fall and Holiday Season for me. So today I felt like a more fall Infused water to start off the season.

    Tea, with Apples and Cinnamon

    1 pitcher of water
    2-3 Tea Bags
    1 large Apple
    1 Cinnamon Stick
    1 Tbls Honey

    Mix everything together and let sit overnight….

    ***You can bring a pot of water to simmer add all the ingredients simmer for 10 minutes, then strain and put into a pitcher. Reheat if you want hot or enjoy over ice.

    Benefits of Apples and Cinnamon and Tea (Just to name a few)

    ***Apples:

    Flush toxin, aids weight loss, fights cancer, boosts immune system,

    Blueberry Orange Detox Water

    Wednesday is Water Day here at the Shedquarters so stay tuned for a new detox water recipe every week. This week, we’re looking at a Blueberry Orange detox water.

    Here’s how to make it:

    • 1 cup Blueberries
    • 1 large orange sliced
    • 1 pitcher of water
    •  *** Best herb to add would be mint

    Mix it all together let infuse over night

    Detoxing Benefits

    • Oranges are an excellent source of vitamin C and contain folate and B vitamins. This fruit is great for the immune system.
    • Blueberries are another one of nature’s superfoods. They are rich in vitamins and phytochemicals known as flavonoids which may help to reduce heart conditions in young women. They are also a good source of manganese which is essential for bone growth and can aid the replenishment of this mineral after menopause.

    Pineapple Cucumber Detox Water

    Before I head off to bed every night, I make my detox water for tomorrow.

    This time, it’s going to be Pineapple and Cucumber. Basically, I just check around the refrain, pick something I like, and put it in a pitcher of water. You can add any herbs also, for me it’s this simple, it makes me drink more water to have flavor in it.
