    Beautiful Bedroom Makeover

I was asked by my friend to makeover her oak bedroom set. It was a large set and she wanted it to be white antique, but with such a huge set, we decided to pull in another color of her choice to break up the white.  She chose Chiffon Cream Rustoleum chalk paint which she found on Amazon, Dixie Belle Mason Dixon Grey on the drawer fronts finished with a Dixie Belle Hi Ho Silver Glaze. On the men’s wardrobe, she wanted to do something different so we used Deep Plum Seas by Chateau Chic and accented the top with the Mason Dixon Grey. I finished everything with Maison Blanche Antique Dark Brown Wax to seal it.  The Grey with he glaze gave the pieces a really cool purple hue and it looks beautiful with a slight shine.

    Coca Cola Table and Stools

One of my favorites, I am not really a big Coca Cola collector, just seen this at a Georgia Antique Show held at th.  I just knew I was going to make a table out of it, so I put a top on it made from reclaimed wood.  I sprayed the ice chest with a sealer to help it stay nice since it is outside.  I went on line to look for some rustic stools and found these, but the tops were so hard to sit on so I went back on line and found Coca Cola fabric and made some stool covers.  I have it on my back porch at our log cabin and love sitting at it with my coffee or cocktail.

    New Life for Nesting Tables

I picked these tables from a friends grandmothers house they were antique gold and green, need I say ugly ugly ugly I was not sure I even wanted them, but I took them anyways thinking I will try to make something of them and if it fails I could throw them away.

So I got to work and painted them CECE Caldwells Parchment and took a sandpaper block to them to distress them, I used a clear wax by Maison Blanche and touched the edges with Annie Sloan warm gilding wax.  I finished them with a three coats of Dixie Bell Gator Hide so that they will be waterproof on the top in case company puts a glass or plate on them.  They turned out terrific and now belong to my daughter.

I love nesting tables, you don’t see them around often but they are really great for company.
